Tadpole’s Dana Skallman at CiviCon 2013 in San Francisco April 25th-26th!
We are pleased and proud that our own Dana Skallman has been invited to conduct not one, but TWO WordPress-focused workshops at CiviCon 2013 San Francisco.
For those not familiar with is, CiviCRM is a web-based, open source, Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) software geared toward non-profit and other civic-sector organizations. Using CiviCRM can add a ton of features to your WordPress website that makes your events, membership, subscription, donation and campaign management simple.
Dana is rapidly leaving her imprint on the CiviCRM for WordPress community. As a local activist/organizer, she brings her own hands-on, end-user experience to her formidable knowledge of how Civi integrates with WordPress. At CiviCon, she’ll be sharing her expertise in two workshops:
CiviCRM for *Contact* Management, WordPress for *Content* Management
This is an introductory session for organizations that may have a WordPress website (or are thinking about using WordPress) and want to find new ways of engaging and communicating with visitors. Visitor activity (did they download your newsletter? rsvp to an event? Make a donation?) will automatically update their contact profile in CiviCRM. This means you can see how a specific contact interacts with your organization over time.
Dana will:
- Demonstrate the advantages of using simple WordPress themes with CiviCRM
- Showcase how WordPress templates can be built around features for CiviCRM
- Address why you want to limit WordPress plugins when using CiviCRM
- Explain how to structure and organize data across these two applications
CiviCRM and WordPress: A Dynamic Duo!
For the intermediate CiviCRM user, this session focuses on implementing WordPress and CiviCRM on your own or working with a tech team. Dana will discuss “best practices” and things to keep in mind. Knowing what to look out for beforehand will save you time and money, as well as help you best plan for your unique website and database needs!
If you’re located in San Francisco, or plan on being in the area April 25th-26th, definitely check out Dana’s workshops. We guarantee you’ll be impressed with what CiviCRM can do for non-profits that are looking to streamline their CRM and website activities.
